Cate Laverty is a Graphic Design student who is passionate about bringing your stories to life through unique visuals.

Hi, I’m Cate! I’m a sophomore at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY, pursuing a major in Studio Art with a concentration in Communication Design and a minor in Film & Media Studies. As a member of Skidmore's Periclean Honors Forum, a selective academic program emphasizing intellectual engagement and community leadership, I stay actively involved in both creative and academic growth. An alum of Episcopal High School, a co-educational boarding school in Washington, DC, I served as Editor-in-Chief of the Whispers yearbook, Features Editor for The Chronicle newspaper, and contributor to The Damon art and literary magazine.

In 2022, I received a Scholastic Gold Key award for my sculpture Mark Me Up. From 2022 to 2023, I worked as the Amherst Men’s Lacrosse Graphic Design intern, creating graphics for the team’s social media presence. I am proficient in all Adobe Creative Suite programs and have professional training in drawing and painting.

Visual storytelling has always been a passion of mine, and I love blending design and fine arts to create thoughtful, impactful work.
